As usual I went to school in the car but today was different today we were going to Cardigan Mountain. My dad pulled into the parking lot and I got out. I messed around with my friends until the buses came. I then brought my backpack onto the bus and when I sat down I dug a book out of my bag. I read for the entire bus ride and when I realized we were going to get off soon I put my book into my bag as the AMC lodge came closer and closer.
The bus stopped and the students filed out.
We assembled into our groups for the final time. My group decided to do the mystery of the trees game following the directions, we soon found ourselves trudging up a fern covered hill. When our group got to the top of the hill our group organizer/leader told us that a long time ago some people thought that the hill would be a good place to have a skiing hill. She showed us a car that had to be at least 80 years old that was here because the engine was going to power a ski lift for the hill but the idea didn't pan out. We ate there and then walked back down the hill.
We still had a few hours left so we decided to do the nature trail. About a mile into the nature trail our group stopped to do a game that involved betting on traits for our trees. After that, we resumed walking the nature trail when we got back to camp. The group wanted to play football but I don't like football so I decided to read instead not long after the bus came and we all gathered up our stuff and walked onto the bus leaving cardigan forever.
This paragraph is like human / environment interactions since our group was walking through the environment at Cardigan mountain. We also found rock walls and an old car from when farmers were at Cardigan and then when some people wanted to build a ski slope. Both examples of humans interacting with the environment.
